CLINTON INFORMATION

Show starts at 9 am with barrel racing followed by steer wrestling, breakaway, tie-down, team roping than barrels, open and youth.  No membership required for steer wrestling and barrels. There is a $15 arena fee for every rider.

$60 per event for three head; $20 for open barrels with two runs; $10 for youth barrels for two runs.  For barrels, the winner will be on the average this year not the fastest time out of two runs.

Fully heated facility, washrooms and a food booth.

Will be held at The Reach Centre in Clinton, 169 Beech St - take either Hwy 8 or Hwy 4 to Clinton then follow casino signs.  The Reach Centre is beside the casino.

THOMSON'S ROPINGS

9 a.m. - Entries; 10 a.m. - Roping starts, beginning with Breakaway, then followed by Tie-down Roping.

$70 for Breakaway and Tie-down Roping (4 head),  additional $2 RAO Office Fee for each competitor will be collected.

Features: 80' x 220' indoor arena with great footing. Plenty of parking. Nice angus calves!

Location: 8447 Wellington Rd 22, Rockwood. Just east of Oustic on south side between 5th and 6th Line. This is a paved road just south of Scullys and just west of their road (6th Line).

NEWS: YEAR-END POINTS TOWARDS PRIZES AT A FAIR PLAYING FIELD!

The Thomsons Ropings will accumulate points towards year-end prizes using an adjusted points system that categorizes ropers into different levels to provide a fair playing field.

Prizes will include a championship buckle, a cooler, Buckeye Nutrition product, etc.

Your level is determined by last year's points. If you did not compete in 2010/2011, points from 2009/2010 will be used. For earlier competing years, you will be automatically placed in the lowest level.

Break-away points: if you earned < 500 pts. last RAO season, 1 pt. = 3 pts.; if you earned 500-1000, 1 pt = 2 pts.; and if you earned > 1000 pts., then 1 pt. = 1 pt.

Tie-down points: if you earned < 700 pts. last RAO season, 1 pt. = 2 pts., and if you earned > 700 pts., 1 pt. = 1 pt.

    Directors will call top 7 contestants in each event.  Each contestant must confirm & commit to attending.  If you commit and do not attend, you will be fined $100.00. 
    Entries are $100.00 per event.  CASH ONLY.

Jackpot following finals - there will be $150 added to breakaway and tiedown and $200 added to Team Roping.
